What is your business all about? Words are incredibly powerful. I help my clients to choose them wisely by creating content that helps them grow their business and expand their brand. From website and blog content to lead generation, speeches, and everything in between, I put together the words that they use to grow.

What made you start your business? I started my business because I wanted to write; I wanted people to see my words and be moved by them. I continue in my business because I see the impact that having incredible copy can do for a business and for their potential consumer.

What makes your business unique? The unique thing about my business is that I truly care about incorporating the voice and writing style of my clients. Being genuine with the passion, tone, and spirit of my clients translates into copy that is authentic and accurate.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful business owner? Being able to be flexible; rigidity can work against you. Being able to make mistakes and get back up; if you get knocked down and stay there, it's over. Having expectations; making sure to set goals, have boundaries, and setting limits is imperative.

What three pieces of advice would you give to someone who wants to launch their own business?
1. There will usually be someone that is in the same industry as you. There is absolutely room for you ALL and making connections/networks of support can be good for your business. You're just different enough so don't be discouraged; there is enough to go around.
2. Create a business plan; no matter your business size/needs. Do the work you need to identify the needs of your business and be honest! Don't forget to update your business plan as you grow/change as it is a dynamic document.
3. Be wise enough to know that you can't know it all. There will inevitably be things that you don't know and plenty of people to offer their advice. Take in the advice and piece out what you can use but don't apply it all; you know your business best.

Who has been your greatest inspiration? Or what book has inspired you the most? Or what is your favorite book? My greatest inspiration has been my community of women business owners. Being among diverse women who share their dreams, mistakes, advice, shortcuts, pain points, and all the messy and amazing stuff in between is truly inspirational. From coast-to-coast, we are all living to be the best we can be and make an impact in our individual communities and industries along the way. It's beautiful.

How do you conquer those moments of doubt that so often stifle or trip up or stop so many? I have invested in a lot of Post-Its! I use them to remind myself of the amazing things about where I am, who I am, and where I want to be. Vision boards are also huge in my business. I also rely on meditation a lot. Taking time out to ground myself by standing barefoot in the grass or checking in with my thoughts, and even taking a quick 3 minutes to rest can have a great impact on my mood and outlook.
