How long have you been in business? Since October 2019.
What is your business all about? I provide home staging and interior redesign services. I offer a number of services to fit your home project and budgetary needs.
What made you start your business? I started my business because helping others transform their homes has always been inside of me. I'm a creative person through and through and home design is my favorite creative outlet. I worked in higher education for 10 years and while I enjoyed my work, I wasn't truly passionate about it because I wasn't immersed in being creative all day, everyday.
What makes your business unique? I use creative, out-of-the-box ideas to maximize my clients' budgets to transform their spaces into the home of their dreams. I also incorporate unique decor and furnishings from local small businesses. In addition, when the right project presents itself, I'll take on refurnishing furniture for my clients myself.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful business owner?
- Being willing to ask for help
- Resilience

What three pieces of advice would you give to someone who wants to launch their own business?
- Take advantage of free resources like the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) in your area.
- Find fellow like-minded entrepreneurs to help support you along the journey.
- Get comfortable with being uncomfortable, but make sure you're having fun doing it!
Who has been your greatest inspiration? Or what book has inspired you the most? Or what is your favorite book? My greatest inspiration is my grandmother. She started her career as a nurse, raised 5 children, and decided later in life (in her 50s!), to go back to school, get her Masters degree, and start her own counseling business. She taught me that it's never too late to follow your dreams.
How do you conquer those moments of doubt that so often stifle or trip up or stop so many? I talk through it with my husband, who has been a HUGE pillar of support throughout my entrepreneurship journey. I'll also seek out advice from fellow business owners to get their insight.
Please feel free to share any other information that will help your audience get to know you better. I'm the mother of an 11-year-old son and a 9-year-old fur baby (dog). If anyone knows about durability and cleaning up messes as it relates to interior design - it's me!
Passion: My passion is looking past a space that is dated and seeing its full potential. I love empowering my clients to make design decisions that will transform their homes.
